Lupus has over 1.5 to 2 million sufferers in America. More than ninety percent of victims are women. Lupus is one of over 100 different autoimmune diseases that are attacking the American population. There are currently over 23.5 Million Americans who suffer with some type of autoimmune disease with many of these leading to death. As a matter of fact, Autoimmune Disease is one of the top 10 leading causes of death in female children and women in all age groups up to 64 years of age. With this kind of serious statistics and being a sufferer for a season myself, it makes me wonder why there are no top news stories that treatment option s with recovery possibility for many is available! This is the reason I am currently writing my book, Time for Truth: Lupus and Autoimmune Disease Recovery to allow every American who suffers to learn the truth about their options.
Kristi suffered with Lupus for fourteen years. Diagnosed with nine of the eleven criteria, she was also on numerous medications, in and out of the emergency room while living in constant chronic pain. She made many life-style and dietary changes to get off medications, have five beautiful children but she still lived with various Lupus symptoms. Then her third born child regressed into autism. By the time he was five years old she was told to institutionalize him. In an effort to keep him out of an institution and help treat his autism, she traveled coast to coast studying all she could. Working with physicians and scientists across the world she discovered that Autism was treatable and some even recovered. With that as her motivation she worked tirelessly treating her son. When he was finally accepted with a leading physician who looked at Kristi's history, he then told her that she could also benefit by treating her Lupus in the same way.
With the ultimate goal of helping her son, she did decide to research and found a physician (Dr. Tammy Born) who treated her Lupus as well. Dueling this task was definitely not an easy road to walk but the outcome was so worth every effort. Kristi's son completely recovered from Autism five years after beginning intervention. And two years later, Kristi recovered from Lupus. She went from suffering with nine criteria down to zero. She never thought she could recover but rather stay in remission. It's now no longer a remission, even her blood work is now negative, she is truly recovered and has been for two years now.
There are many modalities to treatment and recovery and although a similar road map is laid out for all, individual testing and treatment continues to be a necessity as no two people are exactly the same. There is testing from IgG food ELISA testing to toxicity and immune system function. One of the largest components to success is patient compliance with treatment set. This is so true for almost every situation in our health. How dedicated are you to do what it takes to feel healthy and well? This is part of the reason why I became a Professional Certified Health Coach to assist others in this area of setting goals and maintaining their objectives set to push forward toward recovery.
The details of testing and treatment will all be laid out in my upcoming book, Time for Truth: Lupus and Autoimmune Disease Recovery. Many physicians will give input with case studies of various patients who have recovered from Lupus and other Autoimmune Diseases. Please sign up for the Kristi and Kids® newsletter for updates on the book or future speaking engagements where Kristi will speak on some of these topics.
